For this project, we were instructed to create an 8x8-inch folded guide focused on a topic we are passionate about as users or consumers. The guide needed to combine type, image, and layout design creatively to present our research. It includes a cover that communicates the guide’s theme, an introduction, and reviews designed in an image-quote fashion. We were tasked with developing custom icons, creating a map featuring the 20 locations mentioned in our guide, and detailed highlights for the top three locations of our choice. The goal was to explore typography and visual storytelling while considering audience and context.
